CiberRed – Meeting in Lisbon

CiberRed – Reunião em Lisboa

The contact points of CiberRed, a network of Ibero-American prosecutors specialized in cybercrime and gathering of electronic evidence, meet in Lisbon, at the Procuradoria-Geral da República, on 17 and 18 November 2025. This network, created in the context of AIAMP (Asociación Iberoamericana de Ministérios Publicos) and coordinated by the Procuradoria-Geral da República of Portugal, brings together representatives of 21 prosecutions services from Iberoamérica (apart from Portugal, Spain and Andorra, all States of the Americas with Spanish and Portuguese as official languages).

The topics that are addressed in this meeting are the latest advances and trends in investigations of cybercrime in Iberoamérica, the legal focus on images of child sexual abuse generated by Artificial Intelligence and the future perspectives of criminal investigations related to crypto assets.

At the same time, an international conference is being held with the aim of promoting dialogue on the application of the Second Additional Protocol to the Budapest Convention, focusing on the main challenges in the application of the Protocol and contributing to find common solutions through the exchange of points of view and best practices.

These activities are supported by the Council of Europe and the European Union, through the GLACY-e and CyberSPEX projects.
