The Prosecutor General's Office organizes an international conference on cybercrime, in Lisbon on 5 and 6 February.
Representatives of the Public Prosecutors' Offices of Portugal and all other CPLP countries (Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, São Tome and Principe, Timor-Leste and Macao - the latter as an observer) participate in the conference. Representatives from other 18 Ibero-american countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay), also attend.
During the works, prosecutors and other specialists from the various countries will discuss the creation of specialized units of Public Prosecutors in the fight against cybercrime. Also, the deepening of international cooperation, especially between the countries of the Lusophone and Ibero-american spaces, is at the top of the agenda of this event.
The Prosecutor General of the Republic and the representative of the Council of Europe, Manuel de Almeida Pereira, opened the meeting, which is supported by the Project GLACY+ of the Council of Europe.
