Seminar "Keys to Cyberspace"

Organized by Eurojust, it was held on 2 June 2016 in The Hague, the Strategic Seminar "Keys to Cyberspace". This meeting brought together representatives of Member States of the European Union, with practical experience on cybercrime issues, with the aim of identifying and finding possible solutions to the challenges of investigation and prosecution of specific cases in this area. The Prosecution Service was represented by the Coordinator of the Cybercrime Office.

The general themes included jurisdiction in cyberspace, especially in relation to the phenomena of the so-called cloud, cooperation with Internet service providers based in the United States of America and encryption.

A special session focused on the creation of the European Union Judicial Cybercrime Network a judicial network focused on cybercrime issues. It is expected that the Council of Ministers of Justice and Home Affairs areas (JHA) of the European Union, to be held on 9 and 10 June will approve a resolution to set up this network.
