A series of thematic sessions on cybercrime was launched this Tuesday, aimed at prosecutors of the Public Prosecution Service. It is intended that they facilitate informal exchange of experiences and the updating of knowledge in the area of cybercrime and digital evidence. These sessions will last until March 2022, via videoconference and always at lunchtime, to minimize the impact on each magistrate's daily tasks.
The theme of the first session was "New crimes in the Cybercrime Law" and intended to launch for discussion the recent revision of the Cybercrime Law, operated by Law No. 79/2021, of November 24, which adjusted the entire system of punishment for the criminal use of payment cards, the respective data and other payment systems. 148 prosecutors participated in the session.
