Due to its relevance to the Public Prosecution Services Portuguese Speaking countries (CPLP), it is disclosed the Declaration of Santa Maria, approved by the XVI Conference of Ministers of Justice of the Portuguese-Speaking Countries, held in Sal, Cabo Verde, on 22 November 2019. It reiterates the political will to combat cybercrime and the intention that Member States of the CPLP which have not yet acceded to the Cybercrime Convention (Budapest Convention) should adopt the necessary procedures for accession.
